On February 21, Mr. Wang Weizhong, Secretary of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee, along with Mr. Wang Youming, Director General of Shenzhen Municipal Commerce Bureau, met with the Airbus delegation led by CEO Tom Enders. Mr. Enders spoke about the Airbus innovation center established in Shenzhen in November 2017. As Airbus’s second innovation center in the world and its only innovation center in the Asia Pacific region, the Shenzhen-based Airbus innovation center aims to integrate local strengths including innovative talents, partners and ecosystems, with Airbus’ expertise in aerospace to explore breakthrough technologies, business models and new opportunities for growth. After one year of operation, the innovation center has launched innovation projects in smart hardware, cabin experience, interconnection technology, urban air transportation and other fields. He also emphasized that Shenzhen will provide as always a first-class business environment and continuous support.

Airbus, founded in 1970 and headquartered in Toulouse, France, is owned by the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS).
